I was very excited to meet Nicki and Ute (plus all of the other lovely sewists who attended) during their recent visit to London, and to talk #oneyearoneoutfit in person.
We visited Goldhawk Road, and only made it to a handful of shops because shopping as a group always takes ages (and shopping – even for fabric – is less essential than nattering) 🙂
Loop, where Nicki located all the lovely naturally dyed yarns.
Sew Over It, Islington, where Elle bought some amazing hot pink crepe.
We wandered the streets of London looking for pretty front doors and interesting door knockers.
Posed in front of the first white wall we found.
And ended up at the pub.

Ah, Charlotte, this is such a lovely round up of our brilliant day. I love Elle’s expression up at the top there – looks like she is totally in charge of us all!
I meant to talk to you about your badge swap. I doubt very much that I’ll be able to come to the Sew Brum meet up, I wish I could. But I’d love to swap a badge with someone if possible.

Haha, agreed. Elle definitely looks like the pack leader:)

It looks like it was such a fun day! I was really sad I couldn’t join you all. Next time though! Isn’t it so lovely to meet up with seeing friends – it still amazes me how easy it is, how much fun, to meet up with people you’ve never met before and feel like you’ve known forever! And almost as importantly, did you buy any fabric?!

There’s always next time! And hopefully it will be nice and soon too:) I was very restrained & only bought one fabric, but I did make up for it that weekend at a trade fair I attended, where I bought quite a bit…

Ah this is such a lovely round-up and I’m still smiling from the day. I wish we could all live in a big sewing house or something where the fun would never end! Xxx

This is just so wonderful, I can’t even! Seeing some of my favourite seamstresses collected together (after a quick google, I’m making up the phrase for a mantua of seamstresses, I kind of like that one). So to the mantua of seamstresses, looking beautiful and I have all the envy. xxxx

Haha amazing, I love mantua for multiple seamstresses!
